A CT native, Jen wishes she could still spend her summers at camp.  Instead, she lives vicariously through her three kids, enjoys traveling, gardening, and teaches jazz and hip hop in her spare time.

Lois spent many years as an analyst in the utilities industry. She now uses these skills to help families find great summer programs. In her free time she enjoys cooking, biking, and spending time with her family.

Jill is a Midwesterner at heart but has made her home in Los Angeles since 1978.  She has worked as an elementary school teacher and a court reporter — but her favorite vocation is helping families find the perfect summer experience!  Jill and her husband raised two children.  In her off hours, she spends time walking, traveling and spending time with her family. 

Allison was an avid camper and participated in both a classic teen tour and an Israel adventure.  As a mom of 3, she also has a great deal of experience with many overnight camps and summer travel programs.  An investment banker and marketer in her former work life, Allison transitioned to Tips to help families create the perfect summer experience for their children.  In her spare time, Allison loves cooking, planning vacations and spending time with her family.

Helene’s love of adventure began at birth, as her family traveled the globe with the Air Force.  The former teacher loves to bake, garden, workout, be active outside and has a passion for volunteering with Meals on Wheels and the Birthday Party Project as well as finding amazing summer adventures for her clients!

Allison Carneal:

Allison is a devoted Francophile and French speaker having lived in France while in college. She enjoys her role helping families create the perfect summer experience for their kids.

Having spent her Junior year abroad experience in France, Jen is a fluent French speaker and looks forward to sharing her knowledge about summer programs with families in France.

Gayle Shifrin loves working with children of all ages. Her experiences with camp include working as a counselor throughout high school and college. After receiving a Master’s degree, Gayle worked as a middle school teacher. She is a mom of two who loves yoga, swimming, bike riding and just being outdoors.

Born and raised in Barcelona and trained as a lawyer, she traveled the world for 14 years and now resides full time in Barcelona. When she lived in Washington, D.C. she contacted Tips on Trips and Camps for help finding a summer camp for her own kids who continued attending for 10 summers. She learned through those experiences that besides all of the fun and growth opportunities that a summer camp offers, it is also a great way for foreign campers to learn English. Now she is promoting this idea to Spanish families.

Romina grew up in Europe and settled in Washington DC after graduate school. She is an Executive Coach and a Change Management Consultant. She loves working with families to find the best summer experiences. She loves traveling, running, swimming, reading, and generally being out and about on fun adventures. Both of her kids love attending summer camp.

Ronit grew up in Montreal and moved to New York 20 years ago. Growing up, Ronit had the opportunity to attend several different sleepaway camps and teen tours, which later inspired her to become a counselor for both. Her two girls have been going to sleepaway camp since they were six years old and love camp as much as she does. She aspires to help her clients find a great summer experience just like she did.

Amy grew up in New Jersey and recently moved to Tampa Florida with her husband and two daughters. Camp has always been a huge part of Amy’s life, having been a camper and then counselor for over ten summers. She has a wealth of knowledge and personal resources to help parents navigate the summer camp landscape. Amy is passionate about camp and wants to help families find their child’s happy place.

Lisa’s love for camps began at an early age as a camper, counselor and swim director. Her three kids followed suit at camps and teen service and adventure trips. A career in consulting and a masters degree in adolescent educational psychology give her the perfect blend of skills to help find the perfect camp-to-kid match for the families she works with! In her spare time, Lisa loves to work out with friends, volunteer, cheer from the soccer sidelines, and she’s always on the lookout for the next family adventure!
