I saw a school bus today! The sight was so welcome I honestly teared up as I watched the masked driver and masked students pass by. I know those students are thrilled to be back with friends at school, even with masks, extra handwashing, social distancing, and Covid testing.

We repeatedly heard from camp directors in 2020 that a camp with Covid protocols won’t “feel” like camp. But now, with a year of pandemic experience, I know kids would leap at the chance to be outdoors, swimming, playing sports, doing arts and crafts with friends no matter the rules or Covid protocols they need to follow. The outdoors is calling, and kids are ready to re-experience an in-person life. It’s time for them to put down their phones, turn off their screens, and prepare for an amazing summer.

Give your kids something to look forward to. Give them camp!
